I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for all of the support and comfort you have shown to Sylvie, myself and our family. The countless gifts of flowers, the warm and
loving words and the deep concern of so many have left us speechless with gratitude to you all during this very trying and still emotional time. For me and my 5 children it is great to feel all your help. This just goes to show that we are like brothers and sisters from one big family and it is something that we will never forget.

I would like to thank Hanshi Flemming for his huge efforts over the last two years and I would also congratulate him and his wife, Emilie on the arrival of his new baby girl
and I am sure that the whole of the IBK will join me in wishing him every success and look forward to seeing him at future IBK events, and please let's give something back at the Danish summer camp end of September to show our support. 

We all need to congratulate Shihan Ralf Farhun  and Sensei Uwe  on staging the first IBK European Championships in Berlin. Despite some unforeseen setbacks the
tournament went on to be a huge success with many world class fights taking place. The setting was a fantastic backdrop for such an event and both Kaicho and I send our personal thanks to all officials, judges, referee's and helpers involved in making this event possible.

Last but by no means least I personally and on behalf of the IBK would like to thank Peter Verschuren and Daniel Sharifi for their amazing attitude and spirit, with just a few
minutes notice they were immediately on the road from Amsterdam to support (and triumph) the Berlin Tournament.
And from me personally "Peter, you are a TRUE gladiator and I will not forget your efforts my friend"

Once again, from the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your kindness and support, and I look forward to many, many years of working together to build the IBK into a world wide force to be  reckoned with -
