A great IBK Summer Training Camp was held in Pordenone, Italy (Town were Shihan Stoppa lives), at the “Don Bosco” high school”, on Thursday through Sunday, July 09, through July 12,  2009.   There were over 50 enthusiastic participants who came from all over Italy. The instruction was in keeping with the high standards of Kaicho Jon Bluming’s IBK Kyokushin Karate, and “All Round Fighting”   The Seminar was organized by Shihan Andrea Stoppa.

Shihan Stoppa let the training in both traditional Kyokushin Training and demonstrated Kaicho Jon Bluming’s approach to All Round Fighting.  BJJ was one of the disciplines and was under the instruction of Alexandre “Batainha” Vasconcelos, leader of Gracie Barra who is Shihan Stoppa’s mentor in that Martial Art.

Sensei Francesco Fina, branch chief for the Kyokushin Rengokai and also a member of the IBK, was a most welcome and talented guest.  Other Martial Arts disciplines practiced at this Training camp were BJJ, submission, wrestling, Shotokai, Judo, and Jujitsu.  Participants came from several dojos and different Martial Arts styles  Representing the Sumo Italian team was Marco Ferretti, also a talented judoka and a member of the Italian senior team.

Michele del Fiol, student of Shihan Stoppa, successfully passed the testing conducted by Shihan Stoppa and Sensei Francesco and was promoted to shodan in Kyokushin Budokai.  Sempai Micheel was also promoted to blue belt in BJJ by Alexandre “Batatinha” Vasconcelos.   Sempai del Fiol fought each day in each of the styles that was taught during this seminar. He also fought seven three minutes rounds of All Round Fighting, with free-fight gloves, which, of course, also includes punching the face, throwing and fighting on the ground.
