OSU and RESPECT Hanshi, Shihan, Sensei, and Sempai:
First and foremast I wish the best for each of you members of our IBK Family, and likewise for your Families. It is always a joy to have your fellowship and share our Budo Way together.
On March 14, 2009 I announced that the 2nd IBK World Championships would be held November 7 – 8, 2009. The date and location for our IBK World Championships has been changed. This previous date and location is cancelled.
The new location will be in Spain. The data and complete data will be provided as soon as possible. We are tentatively planning to hold them in April 2010. Dai Shihan for Spain Pedro Roiz and his staff are making those preparations and will be coordinating their recommendations with me as-soon-as-practical.
I send this notice so that each of you will now have sufficient time to properly plan to attend, as wel as your students, and have your best qualified prepared to participate. Those whom you select must be sent to me not-later-than the end of January 2010 so that the Board can make the final selections and those selected can have sufficient time to train for participation.
Yes, we have many Dai Shihans who are fully capable of sponsoring our IBK World Championships and we are considering many locations, and other large IBK Events in many locations. In doing this we must consider that the Dai Shihans and other Hanshi. Shihan, Sensei, and Sempai also have Events that they sponsor. We do not want to have Major IBK Events that will conflict with these. We also fully understand that few can attend and/or participate in all Events held World-Wide within our IBK but do recommend that each choice and support a many as possible to help improve their own skills and knowledge.
Due and timely notice will be posted on our IBK Web Site and others as soon as the new location, date and information is finalized for our next IBK World Championships.
Wishing each of you well and to stay healthy, stay strong and stay Kyokushin.
OSU!
Kancho Henk Kuipers.
