GERMANY -SUMMER TRAINING CAMP   

JUNE 20 - 22, 2008   

For all who were unable to attend the Germany TrainingCamp, you missed out on some great training.  For those who did attend they were certainly  pleased withevery aspect of it. Dai Shihan Ralf Fahrun and (2nd Dan) UweKrüger organized this event and it was equally professionally done aswas the European Championships last month
and I fully expect theDeutscher (German) Championships 2008 will be done in  September. Agreat time of Kyokushin and All Round Fighting was had near Rostock,Germany on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 20 ? 22, 2008. The training was held in theFeriendorf Dolgen am See on the large  outdoor areas.  The weather was excellent.  The training was super as theInstructors were of the highest quality. Everyone who attended, and  there were over 80 in attendance, allcommended of how this Training Camp had been so well organized, and howsuperb the instructions were.

The various Black Belts provided the instructions andwhen the actual training was in progress circulated and gave personalone on one clarification of the techniques and the exact manner of howto better perform them along with the values and usages of them.  The training was in the traditions ofour Kyokushin Karate in that it was hard and pushed  each to theirphysical limits and beyond.

Thanks to each of the Black Belts who so graciously gaveof their expertise in this training and special thanks to Shihan TomMadsen for making the journey and providing the grappling training.  Shihan Tom did this all on Saturdayand returned home the same day without asking for money.  This is in keeping with what Kanchocontinues to say ?It's not the money, It's the Sport!?  Some of us still believe in ourKyokushin and are willing to share the knowledge with others, especiallythe many who cannot afford the costs or the time from theiroccupations. Ihesitate to mention the names of the Black Belts as I did not obtain allof  the names and because of old age simply cannot remember each of thembut will mention a few with regrets for not having the names of all ofthem. Dai Shihan Ralf Fahrun and (2nd Dan) Uwe Krüger organized and managed this great Training Camp.
