Curti is a small town near Naples, and few kilometres from Caserta, where is the world’s most luxury royal palace.
Director George Lucas choosed the Caserta’s palace for shooting “Star Wars” as the Naboo’s planet palace for the queen!
On the days 29 of February and 1 and 2 of March, Dai Shihan for Italy Andrea Stoppa was invited by Senpai Benedetto Zarillo, who just entered the IBK with his dojo, to hold a seminar in Kyokushin-Budokai and to refere during tha 2nd tournament “Città di Curti”.
Several people from Italy’s branch of IBK joined the seminar, as sensei Rodolfo Pacifico from Puglia, but even people from other organizations, as Kyokushin-kan, Kyokushin Rengokai , IKO3 and Muay Thai come to take lessons from Shihan and part in tournament.
Fight were very rude, and everybody showed good spirit and stamina, so Shian Andrea hope that the 1st edition of Italian Open Kyokushin Tournament in November 2008 will be high
Shihan Andrea was very happy with Senpai Benedetto, who did a strong effort to organize this tournament, and showed everybody that being an IBK member means training and working hard to develop Budo.
Next appointements in Italy will be a 3 days seminar with Kancho Henk and Shihan Andrea in Rome in April, and a 4 days seminar with the “terrible duo” and our good friend Shihan Cyril Andrews from Shinkyokushin in South Italy in June.
